Rock fibre
Rock wool is an engineered mineral fiber composed of aluminosilicates. The main production techniques are based on spinning molten rock on high speed spinning wheels. The extremely high melting temperature gives mineral fibres excellent performance at elevated temperatures, exceeding other fibrous materials such as cellulose, glass and aramid.
