Copper sulphides
CuS/Cu2S Copper sulphides can be of synthetic or mineral origin. Natural copper sulphide can be found in combination with iron in a mineral called chalcopyrite. It is a source of copper for the friction materials sector. Despite the fact that metallic sulphides are usually included in the solid lubricant category, only molybdenum sulfide behaves as a true lubricant.
